Full / Half Day Camp 6 - 14 years old

Full Day Camp

Full Day Camps are available for 6-14 year old players of all levels of experience and ability. Camps run for a week, Mon to Fri 8:30am-4pm and will be ran only at our indoor camps.

Full Day Camps are always run with a Half Day camp option.

Our Full Day curriculum has been developed over many years of coaching camps and clubs, both in the USA and Overseas. We have the individual player in mind when we plan our daily training sessions and aim for the entire camp to be an enjoyable and educational experience for them.

Curriculum

A typical camp day will be split into a morning and afternoon session. Each session will be based on a tactical and technical theme, differing each day, which we coach the players through.

World Wide Soccer believes in the ‘team game’ and our emphasis on all technical skills and tactical elements through SSG (small-sided games) allows us to build this ethic – ‘how can my individual skills and ability help our team?’. The 3 hour morning and afternoon sessions over 5 days allows for our coaches to cover a wide range of game areas and players can expect to come away from camp having taken on experience of many new ideas and skills to improve their game.

World Cup Tournament

The player’s favorite part of our camps is easily the World Wide Soccer World Cup. On the first day of camp players are placed in teams of mixed age and ability and they are given a country to represent. They will then enter a week-long World Cup tournament and play matches against all other teams on camp. Points are awarded to teams for wins, goals scored, examples of great skill and sportsmanship.

Whichever team accumulates the most points will play in the World Cup final on Friday. The two teams compete for medals and it is always a colorful event! We assign homework over the week such as learn about the country you represent, paint your face in your nation’s colors and bring in your nations flag!

Half Day Camp

Half Day camps are a shorter version of the full day camp – and are usually 9am-12pm. All players attending will receive a free soccer jersey.

Players will benefit from the skill development sessions we use in our Full Day curriculum and it incorporates the same ‘team game’ coaching philosophy.

We also run the World Wide Soccer World Cup and players get to compete in the week long scrimmage tournament as they play against other countries to help their team reach the World Cup Final! Half Day camps can be scheduled alone or as a choice on a Full Day Camp schedule.

Our Camps

We offer a wide variety of soccer camps, each with its own coaching goals and curriculum. Whether it be a Full Day program or a Strikers vs. Goalkeepers camp you are looking for, we can cater to your needs and tailor camps to provide you and your players with the experience they require.

The opportunity to compete in our famous World Wide Soccer World Cup beckons for every player (age 5-14) and it is arguably the camps most anticipated event – can you reach the World Cup Final?

The Strikers vs. Goalkeepers camps work on the attacking player’s technique in front of goal, not just shooting. Players will benefit from advanced training, learning how to finish when under pressure, 1v1, finishing from a cross or long range efforts. The training will also work on build up play, overlaps, reactions and creating goal scoring opportunities for you and your team mates.

Goalkeepers will benefit from their own camp too, with one of our coaches. The trainers will cover reactions, distribution, bravery, shot stopping and handling! Camp generally runs for 4 days and is offered in the evenings. Players will also take part in fun games and competitions!

We run Advanced Training camps in San Antonio for players 8-14 years old as well as Female only and Goalkeeper only.

U14-U19 Advanced High school camps in San Antonio is the premier summer training program designed for the dedicated high school player looking to advance their game ability during the summer months and prepare for the upcoming tryouts and season.
