As a WWS Summer Camp Soccer Coach you will primarily coaching players aged 3-16 years on our full or half day summer camps. As a diverse coaching company we offer various training options to players and you may be required to work on individual training, striker/goalkeeper camps and advanced camps. Your main duties will be coaching on the field and interacting with parents and players off the field, in support of your camp director. Camps run Monday to Friday and the weekend is your own time.
First start by completing a soccer coach application form, the link is below. This is a company requirement. If you would like to supplement this form by also sending us your CV/Resume via email, please do. Take this opportunity to tell us about you; the person you are, the coach you are and your future plans. We recruit a small team of summer coaches every year, so we can ensure we get the best. We also want to get to know you well, as you will get to know us, from team trainers all the way up to our company owner. We will begin this process via interview and staff selection, reference checks and criminal background checks. Once we agree a term of contract we will then begin the visa process.
We run a J-1 exchange program sponsored by a specialized overseas work experience company who act as visa sponsors. Once we have agreed a contract of employment with you we will direct you to our visa sponsors and you will organize membership, interview and visa through them. We will be in constant communication with you every step of the way.
We expect our summer coaches to cover membership, visa and insurance fees with our visa sponsor and airfare to Texas. World Wide Soccer will refund the visa fee and SEVIS fee once you arrive in Texas. The main cost comes from arranging your membership to the J-1 program through our visa sponsor but this is unavoidable now for all other soccer camp and training companies, no matter which visa route you take. We can offer competitive wages that should go above and beyond your expenditure, depending on the duration and terms of contract.
We will provide uniform, coaching equipment, transport and accommodation. Accommodation will usually be with host families and at no cost to our summer staff. We will also provide all staff training and coaching materials to ensure you coach successfully and in the World Wide Soccer methodology. Our successful coaches move onto great positions world wide and we will always help with references, coach assessments and anything else you require to succeed.
Now! We begin Summer 2011 recruitment in September 2010, so there is no time like the present. Given the turnaround on visas and the extensive recruitment process we like to begin early and ensure our summer staff are well prepared and ready for the summer. Leaving application too late can make obtaining a visa impossible, no matter your experience, qualifications or how great you would be for the job. Begin the application process NOW and invest in your summer and future!
